1. mconline assignments - I have assigned different sets of homework for the four weeks of holiday, so you are supposed to complete 4 sets of exercises by the end of the holidays. Each set's window period is between Monday to Friday only.

Report Books, Synthesis, Editing and Spelling ...

• For those of you who scored less than 10 for Spelling, each word is worth 20 times. If you scored 10 and above, each word is worth 10 times. These are the correct spellings of the words:

Which and That ...

Synthesis 1.1 is due tomorrow. Please read the notes carefully before you attempt the synthesis exercises. Take note that there are two commas for "which" and none for that.

Student Reflection

• ecareers.sg - play the Career Explorer games and be aware of the different types of occupations in Singapore. Remember to try out the Creative Job Game, Nature Job, Info Job and Team Job Game.
• SPCA - explore the site to find out more about the good work that they are doing for all the animals.

Travel Plans and Batam Trip

• Please get your parent to fill in the details in the Travel Declaration Form, detailing your intended travel plans, for the upcoming June holidays and submit it by Monday. A nil return is required. Make sure that your parent signs the form.
• For those who are selected for the Batam Trip, please submit your passport to me on Monday. If you are going somewhere or need your passport for other valid reasons, please get your parent to give me letter stating the reason. The passports will be kept in school for safekeeping so as to minimise any administrative issues before the trip.

Batam Trip Briefing

For those who are selected for the Batam Trip, please remind your parents that there will be a briefing tomorrow, 17 May in the Hall from 6.00 pm to 6.45 pm. Vital information and matters regarding the trip will be presented then so I strongly encourage that they attend.

LC Books, Compo File and Worksheet File

Please be reminded to bring these on Monday for me to collect. Please get your parents to sign the necessary papers and worksheets.

Compo, LC and Revision 5

• Please be reminded that your EL Paper 1 and Listening Comprehension examinations will be held tomorrow. Read through the compositions and try to remember some of the phrases used. 
• For the composition exam tomorrow, you will be tasked to complete one Situational Writing and one Continuous Writing within 70 minutes. Please revise your creative phrases lists and remember to strategise your timings for each piece of writing properly:
• 20 minutes for Situational Writing
• 50 minutes for Continuous Writing - maximum 15 minutes for planning, at least 30 minutes for writing and at least 5 minutes for checking.
• Bring along your Compo File and LC book tomorrow for checking and safekeeping.

DSA and EL Supplementary WS

• For those who have yet to submit their DSA brochure acknowledgement slip, please do so by Monday.
• The rest of the EL Supplementary WS (2 Vocab Cloze and 2 OE Compre) are due on Monday.
• Also, you wil be sitting for your mock exam (Booklet B) then.

• I have returned  the English files to you. Please retain them at home (because they are pretty heavy) for your revision purposes.
